2 lbs frozen hash browns
1/2 C melted butter or marg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 T dried onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pint (2 cups) sour cream (see note below)
2 C grated cheese
Mix and put on top of the potato mixture:
2 C crushed corn flakes or potato chips
1/2 C grated cheese
1/4 C melted margarine
Bake 45 - 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
Tips
- I use 1 C ranch-type chip dip in place of 1 cup of the sour cream. It's awesome! Thanks to Momof4GreatKids for that tip!
